The judgment
The stranger in a foreign place — careful, light-footed and without the protections of home. This hexagram speaks to situations of impermanence, of being without your usual resources or relationships. Care and correct conduct are the only real protection when you are far from your own ground.
The image. Fire rises above the mountain — the travelling light that rests and moves on.
Guidance
Move with care and without pretension — be precise in how you present yourself and careful in what you commit to. Don't overstay and don't overclaim what you don't have.
How it’s built
Every hexagram is two trigrams — the lower one beneath the upper. This one is Gèn below Lí.
