Faelivrin Swiftbrook
the Thunderborn Elf
Faelivrin, from the Sindarin for 'gleaming spirit of the fell', and Swiftbrook, from the fast-moving river that feeds the house's gold-panning grounds, together naming a child born during a lightning storm that struck the river's golden silt into glowing ore.
Storm-gilding — you can call down a lightning strike that transmutes any struck metal into pure gold, but the bolt also leaves a scar on the land that will not heal for a century.
- Familiar
- a wolverine named Gritt
- House
- House Swiftbrook
You are kneeling on a scorched hill, picking a single gold coin from a puddle of molten silver, the air still crackling with ozone from the bolt you called. The wolverine at your side gnaws a blackened timber, unimpressed. You were not aiming for the chest — you were aiming for the raiders who fled into the trees, and you missed. The gold is a consolation, not a victory.
