You keep a single frozen rose in a box lined with black silk, a bloom from the year you first felt winter settle into your bones. It never thaws, because you never let it. The thorn it grew on was cut from the hedge that borders the Frostwood, and you have not returned there since the night the moon turned silver and stayed that way.
