Blodwen Reedlight
the Hailthistle Fairy
Named for the palest flower that blooms after a lightning strike, and the cold light that lingers in reeds at the edge of a storm.
You can drive a single dry thistle-head into the ground and call a hail of green fire down on it; the shattered seeds will carve any three words into the nearest stone, but you must sacrifice one of your own ribs for each word.

You are crouched in a hollow of dead reeds, counting the seconds between flash and thunder. A thistle has snagged your sleeve, and you let it—its barbs are the only things that still feel like yours. The sky is bruising dark, and you remember the first time a storm answered you: you were begging it to take a debt back, and it took your voice instead. Now you count in silence.
