Wren Featherspindle
the Emberbloom Fae
Named for the wren that nests in the forge's eaves and the spindle of dried marigold stems she uses to rake coals.
Bloomfire — you can kindle a marigold flame from a handful of ash, and it will burn only as long as the one who lit it keeps a promise; when the promise breaks, the flame gutters and takes that person's voice for a day.

You will not light a fire for a liar — that refusal cost you a sister's name, which the cinders swallowed. You learned it in the old kiln behind the church, where the dust still holds the heat of every soul who tried to bargain with the flame. One evening a wren brought you a spindle made of calcined bone, and you accepted the weight of it without asking what it meant.
