Llyr Stormglimmer
the Brine-Spark Merman
Named for the sharp flash of lightning on salt spray, and the Celtic sea-god whose voice is the thunder under the waves.
Stormkindle — you can draw a single, silent bolt of lightning from a clear sky, but it always strikes the loneliest thing you see, and the air goes still and heavy for hours afterward.
- Familiar
- a harlequin nudibranch named Flare
- Tide
- the Stormsalt Eddy
You were mending a torn sail on a pebble beach when a storm rolled in from nowhere. A drop of rain hit the salt-crusted needle in your hand, and the needle glowed white-hot. You dropped it into a tidepool, and the pool lit up with tiny lightning flashes that lasted until the storm passed. After that, you could feel every charge in the air, and you knew the sea had given you something that was not quite lightning and not quite a voice.
