Lorelei Marrowcurrent
the Cragkeel Siren
Named for the Lorelei rock that sings with the current and the marrow-deep pull of the shell-ground tide that runs through your bones.
Power
Shell-Root — you can anchor yourself to the seafloor by sending calcified tendrils from your spine into the rock, but each time you break free you leave a piece of yourself behind, and your skeleton is slowly turning to chalk.
- Familiar
- A whelk snail with a cracked shell named Thrift
- Tide
- the Bone Shoal
You will not let them drag you up to the air, not even to breathe. You learned that lesson the day the sand dollar traders hauled you into a skiff and your lungs turned to stone. Now you live wedged in a reef crack, feeding on bryozoan dust, and the shells grow around your ribs like armor you never asked for.
