Yves Moonveil
the Duskveil Merman
Named for the yew wood that darkens the forest's edge at twilight, and the moon's veil that casts shadows where pearls form in the deep.
Moonpearl Lure — you can pluck a glowing pearl from a shadow and use it to draw creatures or people into a gentle trance, but the pearl dissolves at sunrise and leaves you heavy-eyed until the next moonrise.
- Familiar
- a firefly squid named Glow
- Tide
- the Duskveil Tide
Every dusk you float just below the surface, watching the sun’s last fingers lose their grip on the water. You press a hand to the cooling veil of light and something in you hums—a low, patient note that calls the first shadows out of the deep. They come to you like old friends, and you remember that you were never meant for the garish day.
