Melisande Oakenhurst
the Drownedmire Witch
Named for the still pool beneath the oak's roots, where darkness meets water.
Power
You draw memory from standing water — a well, a rain barrel, a forgotten teacup — and the shadow it holds speaks.
- Familiar
- a blind newt named Myrtle
- Coven
- Drownedmire
"The water remembers," you said to the old oak, and the roots shifted. You had never spoken to a tree before, but the pool at its foot had shown you your own face reflected centuries older. That was the first time you listened.
Where the name comes from
Melisande — “strength; honey-sweet”.
Oakenhurst — Oaken (oak) + hurst (wooded hill).
