Six of Swords
You're not arriving somewhere new — you're finally leaving somewhere old.
Upright
You're in transition — leaving behind a situation that was hurting you, or that simply ran its course. The Six of Swords doesn't promise paradise; it promises you're moving away from something worse. Some of what you carry will come with you — the swords are still in the boat. But the direction is right, and right now that matters more than the destination. Let yourself feel relief about the leaving, even if the landing point isn't yet visible.
Reversed
You want to move on, but something is holding you in place — unfinished business, grief, or a loyalty you haven't yet examined. Reversed, the Six of Swords can also mean you're trying to cross over but bringing too much baggage: you leave the place but carry the patterns and resentment. A change of circumstance isn't the same as a real transition. Sometimes the work of moving on is internal, and it has to happen before the outer move does any good.
Love
A painful chapter in a relationship — or the relationship itself — is being left behind. The move is necessary even when it's hard. Give yourself permission to go without guilt, without looking back constantly.
Career
A job or environment that has become untenable is being left. The new situation may not be perfectly mapped yet, but getting out is the right call. Trust the direction over the uncertainty of destination.
Get in the boat. You don't need to know exactly where you're going to know that staying is no longer the right choice.
The card
