Ten of Wands
You've taken on more than one person was ever meant to carry alone.
Upright
You are carrying too much. Work, responsibility, obligations layered onto yourself until the load became genuinely crushing. The Ten of Wands doesn't judge how you got here — often it's ambition, generosity, or simply being the person who shows up. But the weight is costing more than the results justify. The destination is close; you can finish this. But after you do, something has to change. You cannot continue at this capacity without breaking something important.
Reversed
Either you're finally releasing the burden — delegating, resigning, setting a firm limit — or the weight has become so great something is collapsing. The reversal can also point to someone avoiding responsibility: offloading obligations that were genuinely theirs. Look honestly at which version is true. If you've been overloaded, letting go is wisdom. If others carry what's yours, step up before the cost of avoidance exceeds the cost of engagement.
Love
One person is carrying the relationship — emotionally, logistically, or financially. That imbalance won't sustain itself. The weight needs redistribution, and that conversation needs to happen directly.
Career
You are overcommitted and the returns are diminishing. Before you take on one more thing, clear something off the plate. The work that matters can't get your best if everything else is stealing it.
Identify what you're carrying that isn't actually yours to carry. Put it down, delegate it, or renegotiate it — before the weight decides for you.
The card
A figure hunches forward, face obscured, straining under ten thick wands bundled in their arms. A town is just ahead. The weight is extreme, the posture bent. They chose to carry all of this — whether that choice still serves them is the question.
