The judgment
A decisive confrontation with what has been corrupt or weak — a breakthrough that requires speaking plainly without losing yourself to anger or force. The inferior element must be named and removed, but not by meeting its tactics. Truth spoken consistently is the method.
The image. Lake rises above heaven — water at its highest, pressing past all that was above.
Guidance
Speak the truth clearly and let facts do the work — don't stoop to the level of what you are clearing out. Decisive speech backed by genuine principle is how this is done.
How it’s built
Every hexagram is two trigrams — the lower one beneath the upper. This one is Qián below Duì.
