Anwen Mallowflit
the Umbramoth Fairy
Named for the pale mallow that blooms in twilight and the moth that drinks from it without settling.
Moth-tongue — you can hear the murmurs of shadows and speak in wingbeats, but each secret you learn leaves a silver dust on your lips that glows in moonlight.
- Familiar
- A blind vole named Tallow
- Court
- Velvetwing Court
You will not step from the path into the deeper dark, no matter how the mallow flowers call you by your given name. That refusal cost you a shadow you did not even know you had, but it taught you which voices belong to the lamplight and which belong to the lantern. The moth that found you on the edge of that refusal bore a single silver scale on its wing, and when it settled on your palm, your shadow grew back, only deeper.
