Named for the star Hadar that gleams pale in the southern sky, and the churning white foam it leaves on the water when it sets.

Moonspray — you can turn foam into a solid, shimmering path across the water for a few seconds, but it only works under a visible moon, and each step disperses a little of the foam, so you always have to keep moving.

You keep a half-melted candle from a shipwreck, and you light it on nights when the moon is thin, because you like the way the wax drips into the water and holds the moon's light for a moment before it sinks. The foam around you always seems to catch that light and scatter it like tiny lanterns, and you wonder if that's why they call you a moon chaser.
