Meara Brightdeep
the Lanterncoral Siren
Meara from the Irish 'muir' for sea, Brightdeep from the luminous depths where coral glows. Named for the first spark you saw in the deep, a tiny flare that turned the water to amber.
Power
You can make coral reefs pulse with warm light, disorienting those who see it, but each use dims a part of the reef until it goes cold and brittle.
- Familiar
- a fireworm named Glint
- Tide
- the Embertide
The hot vents of the Caldera Reef taught you to hold fire. The price was a burned left hand that now glows with veins of orange, like a broken lantern. You wear it as a reminder that even the brightest gifts have teeth.
