Sedric Frostspire
the Tidetwist Merman
Sedric Frostspire — named for the still moment before a wave breaks (Sedric, from old word for 'steadfast') and the cold, sharp light that pierces the deep when the sun aligns with the ice (Frostspire).
Tidewarp — you can fold the shadow beneath a wave and step through it to any shore you've tasted, but each crossing leaves you with a piece of someone else's memory, and you've started remembering things that aren't yours.

- the Frostshadow Neap
You were patching a net on a Tuesday no different from any other when the tide drew back and did not return. You stepped into the wet sand and the shadow of a wave reached up and took your reflection. You have been walking the seam between water and shore ever since, always cold, always laughing.
