Piotr Bloodveil
the Saltgrave Count
Named for the rock that bears the marks of a blood-red tide, and the veil of brine that separates the living from the drowned.
You command the salt in a living body—crystallize it in the veins until the heart seizes, or draw it out into a fine mist that strips the moisture from the air. But the salt always remembers its source: each use leaves a white crust on your skin, flaking off for days, a reminder that you are slowly petrifying.
- Familiar
- A salt-encrusted eel named Loom
- Bloodline
- House Brinestone
You first noticed the taste of brine in your own tears when you wept at your mother's funeral—salt that was not yours, a tide inside you rising unbidden. That night you walked into the sea and did not come out unchanged; the water accepted you as its own, and you have carried its weight ever since.
