Edric Reedstone
the Hearthwick Warlock
Named for the reed-rooted soil and the stone that holds its ember, a name of latent heat and hidden root.
You can coax a spark from the deadest stone by humming a tune only the earth remembers — and the ember will follow your voice.

You are sitting cross-legged in a field of burnt grass, a smooth stone in your lap, and you are trying to teach it to glow. It was your grandmother's stone, but she never told you it could warm. You found out when you were twelve and your breath fogged the winter air, and the stone pulsed with a faint orange light. Since then, you've been coaxing embers from everything — reeds, pebbles, even the cold hearthstones of abandoned huts. The boar showed up after one such coaxing, snorting sparks.
Reedstone — Reed (reeds) + stone (standing stone).
