Thorne Yarrowvale
the Briarblaze Warlock
Named for the thorn that guards a valley of yarrow, where fire and herb grow together.
Cinderweeding — you ignite dried herbs at a glance, and the smoke carries your intent to root or to burn.

"Thorne, you've got the fire in your fingertips," the old woman said, wiping soot from your cheek. You were nine, stirring a pot of yarrow tea. You didn't understand until you set the drying bundle ablaze just by staring too hard. The flames licked the rafters and left the yarrow unburnt. After that, you learned to coax smoke into shapes, and the weasel appeared one morning in the ash bed, clean as a fresh ember.
Thorne — of the thorn-hedge.
Yarrowvale — Yarrow (yarrow, the wound-herb) + vale (valley).
