Titanite
Also known as Sphene
Titanite is for focusing mental power into clear, confident action.
Meaning & Energy
It brings a feeling of sharpened clarity into a room, like sunlight catching a yellow-green leaf. As a stone that connects the solar plexus and third eye, it blends willpower with vision, making your thoughts feel both grounded and inspired. Ruled by Mercury and born of earth and fire, Titanite keeps your mind quick without losing its footing.
How to use Titanite
Wear Titanite as a pendant or ring to keep its clarifying energy near your upper body. Because it is soft (hardness 5–5.5), avoid settings that knock it against hard surfaces.
Hold a piece at your third eye or on your solar plexus during meditation to balance insight with intention. Focus on a specific question; the stone is said to help you receive an answer that feels both mental and felt.
Place Titanite on your desk or study table to bring a focused, alert energy to your workspace. Its yellow-green glow is especially helpful in rooms where you brainstorm or solve problems.
Titanite is not water-safe for direct immersion. To make a gem elixir, place the stone in a small glass bowl, then set that bowl inside a larger container of water so the water never touches the stone directly. Let it charge in sunlight for two hours.

LoreTitanite was first described in 1795 by the German mineralogist Martin Klaproth, who named it for its titanium content, but it has long been called sphene from the Greek word for 'wedge' (sphen), referencing its distinctive crystal shape. It was a minor gemstone in Victorian jewelry, valued for its intense fire and sharp double refraction.
